Rail Line to Infinity

I think every photographer has taken this image.

Maybe not the same tracks, at the same spot, but every photographer has taken a picture of train tracks vanishing in the distance. And why not?

There’s something romantic about train tracks. Something that makes you stop and think. It’s almost hypnotic. Standing there, looking at the very end of the tracks, which is only as far as your eyes can see. You get lost. Your mind starts to wander, but in an orderly way, as if it too was riding on rails, going through memories like a train through the country. Stare long enough, and you just begin to feel at peace.

Shot on a Nikon EM with a fixed Nikon Series E 50mm lens on Kodak Color Plus Film.

Go. Find. Photograph.
